16 Feb Online Restorative Retreat
What a year it’s been. 2020 turned out very different for all of us, facing us with incredible challenges. So, it is now more important than ever to reconnect with our life purpose, our community, and our aspirations to manifest a fulfilling life. This retreat will focus on healing, recharging our strength, and gaining new inspiration for the year ahead. It is also an amazing chance to connect with like-minded people across the world.
Immerse yourself in your breath and movement practice and emerge feeling well-rested and renewed.
The location
Bundle up in the comfort of your own home, or a suggestion: if it is possible for you, find yourself a peaceful holiday home for example in the forest or on the coast. This retreat is an opportunity to invest time in yourself or create quality time with a beloved friend or family member.
The setting
We’ll be going into a deeper and more subtle practice in this retreat. We recommend that you set up your day to enhance your practice and the retreat experience. Meaning you avoid work, cleanse your senses with a digital-detox and most of all, create quiet time to nurture your being on all levels. What are those things that you love doing, or that you loved doing as a child, but now can’t find the time to do? Read, bathe, go for walks in nature, or bicycle rides, write, paint, do some baking or sing out loud.
Community meals
We recommend that during the retreat you eat foods that nourish your body, not just your cravings. Enjoy pure food and you’ll notice the effect it has on your body as well as your mind. Between classes we will have online community gatherings and we invite you to bring your meal or snack with you to the computer so that we can share our time together just like we would in an in-person retreat. These parts of the retreat give us an opportunity to get to know each other and create our community. In our recent online events the community gatherings have proven to be very valuable and a much appreciated part in the online retreat.
The gatherings
We will have several Breathe to Heal and Inner Axis practices with Max that will vary in their emphasis, such as lectures, discussion and writing, breathing patterns, and restorative and simple breath-based movement practices. The first class will take place on Thursday 18 March 2021.
